Zaim - 1st day @ Qdees Seri Petaling

Yes.. this is backdated entry. Tapi nak jugak share... ;) Arini Mommy kerinduan sama Zaim. Zaim sedang ikut QDees trip to Bomba and Aquaria... Oh my, dah besar anak Mommy sampai bleh pergi trip dah skg... *syahduuu*

Ok back to topic, I was the one who nervous on the first day I sent Zaim to his new school..

"Will Zaim accept his new school?" 

"Can he make new friends?"

"What if he doesn't like his school?"

"Will he be happy or not?"

Huhu sgt banyak what if in my mind. I even had survey the next potential school for him just in case he doesn't like his new school.. I don't mind if he cant complete his syllabus, I just want him to enjoy and have fun with his classmates. What else do you expect from this young kid rite? If he know ABC, he know how to sing Twinkle Star and Old McDonald, that is BONUS... Zaim had achieved this target.. He can count, he know alphabets, he know shapes and colours.. He knows more the adjective and the opposites. His vocab is getting better everyday, so for me, it is more than enough now for his age. I just want him to be happy, to mingle around with other kids, that's all. But am just to scared if he is not able to do this... Okay, I know I sound paranoid.. hahaah... abaikan.. ;P Sebab sangkaan saya amat meleset sekali... Here is the update on his first day at school..

Look at his excited face... Eh tipuuuu.. muke dia tak excited, tapi shy shy cat gitu.. At least dia tak nangis so kire excited la kan? ;P Dah 2 weeks stay @ home... boring la tu... So today Mommy bawak Zaim tengok2 school mase registration... He extremely happy, eventho that time the school is empty. Ingatkan terus bleh start class but that day rupenye ade Parent-Teacher Day pulak. Parent-Teacher day adelah hari bile cikgu akan inform parents and discuss about the kid every end of each term. Ala-ala amik report card gitu... Frust Zaim...

Balik umah main kete... Vroomm vrooomm..

Monday - 5 April 2010.

Sedikit susah when I tried to wake him up... Mak aihh.. Dah lame tak bangun awal.. Jenuh betul nak kejut. Tido memang lewat pulak tu skg ni... End up Mommy kene cakap, "Zaim, you want to follow Babah or not? Naik Audi Babah... " Terus mate yang kuyu jadi bulat. "Nak! Nak! Tapi Mommy dukung..." Zaim kalo dah celik tu memang no hal dah nak mandi sume... Redha je kene sabun kene syampoo sume.. Gosok gigi cincai skit sebab lalok lagi kan.. Hehehe...

Dah lame tak pakai baju QDees.. Segak tengok Zaim dress up pakai uniform... Seronok Mommy. After breakfast, Zaim ikut Babah. Today Babah try hantar dia. Mommy tanak hantar sebab Mommy rase kalo Mommy yang hantar, akan ade drama airmate palsu dari mamat tu... Babah kate, ok je mase hantar Zaim. Salam and babai Babah.. Hish.. Kat rumah punyelah Mommy tak keruan, sampai dah siap standby nak amik Zaim kot kot la meraung ke kan...

Around 11.35am, Mommy sampai school Zaim to discuss with his teacher since next time, his teacher will send him back home. After discussion, Mommy curik2 intai Zaim. Amboihhh kemain lagi seronok main ketuk2 meja with other girls... Agak otai dalam kelas.. Teacher suh senyap pun buat dek je dia... Makin ligat bergendang ketuk meja... Then Mommy masuk kelas Zaim.. Time tu dia tengah main Choo-Choo Train pulak.. Happy dia nampak Mommy... Menjerit-jerit telling me.. "Zaim ade banyak friends.. Bestttttt..." So dalam hati Mommy lega... Tengok dia bleh mix around with these kids... Dulu kan kawan sume melayu... Sekarang dah majmuk... Eloklah tu.. ;)

Time ni dia tak perasan Mommy. Sibuk betulkan kasut dia...

Swimming pool... Faveret Zaim ni... ;)

Yang ni pun feveret jugak.. hihi.. When I was in Principal's room, suddenly I saw Zaim dengan rock sekali mengetuai few of his friends untuk lari ke sini... Selambe dia je.. Pastu kene panggil balik masuk kelas.. Huhuh Sabo jelah.. First day dah buat notty dia...

Class is over... He is the first one out. Mentang-mentang Mommy dia ade...

Let's go home Mommy... Mane Babah? Dia ingat Babah yang nak amik dia..

Maka, berakhirlah nightmare Mommy. Zaim is happy with his new school. After a week, dia dah bleh cerite pasal kawan dia, Irfan. Haha itu je kot budak melayu yang dia tau nama, yang lain name cina.. susah agaknye nak sebut.. 

I just want to share how I prepare Zaim before he move to his new school. 

1. I start to discuss the school move with him when we had decided to move to new house. I keep telling him he will need to go to new school and make new friends. Don't cry and be happy. There is nothing to be afraid of. Teacher are good, friends are good too... I also told him that he need to leave his old friends here so that he will not try to find them in his new class.
2. I keep picturing to him how good to be in school, how fun it will be to play with friends and how interesting will be to learn ABC, count 123 and sing many nice songs with friends.
3. I teach him to initiate the conversation, like Hi, my name is Zaim.. What's your name?... Also to greet people, Good morning, How are you? and say Good Bye. 
4. I show him example so he can see how I greet other parents, and initiate the move to say hello to other kids... 
5. Not to forget, I bought him new botol air.. this time Thomas pulaks since Mickey mouse and Ben10 dah hilang and pecah... (boysssss!!! =P) .. this cost only few RM but it means a lot bile dia excited nak pergi school. ;) Ade jugak dia demand new socks, new bag and all. But tableh la bagi sume baru... Yang lame pun tak rosak lagi, elok lagi kan. Kene ajar jugak jangan membazir.. hehe.. Tapi from time to time mesti Mommy beli punye heheh... Mommy dah eyeing kasut Thomas @ mothercare... Tunggu time je ni... ;P

That's all what I did to help my son adapt to his new school. ;)

Now after 2 weeks of schooling, Zaim become more independent. Mengikut cerita Babah, kalo sampai sekolah je, terus turun and say "Bye bye Daddy.." (daddy le pulak kan... hahah...) then terus berlari masuk main slide or lari masuk kelas... Sampai Babah kene panggil salam baru dia turn back... Itu pun salam ala kadar je..

Ade hari tu Babah lalu jalan lain sebab jammed, risau Zaim.. keep asking Babah, mane school Zaim? Wiyee? (Actually nak cakap Where? hahaah) ... hehe dah seronok le tu kan?

Mommy, I want a pet!

Zaim dah few times request for his own pet. At first, I don't think Zaim really understand what he requested for... but bile dah repeatedly mintak nak pet, I think he seriously do want a pet.. He talk to bear and he pretend to have his own aquarium too. I personally think this is good for him. I found this while googling about the idea of having a pet for the kids.

 But I do have few Questionmark in my head...

1. Is it the best time to have a pet? Maybe it is the best time for Zaim but how about Aariz? I heard of pet allergies but am not sure if my kids have it or not. So far okay je but I think I will bring them both for pet allergies test first before deciding to have a pet.
2. How to discipline Zaim and to make sure he will not terrorizing the pet? This is the biggest challenges! Especially cats! He loves to scream to scare the cats. I dont know how to stop this. No matter how hard I tried to explain to him, and give him a time out but he still enjoy doing this.. Zaim akan ketawa guling-guling kalo nampak cat tu lari mencicit-cicit lintang pukang. Huhu.. Sabo jelah.. Tapi kalo dtg angin penyayang tu, kemain lagi lembut melayan kucing.. Bile cat tu dah termanje-manje, dia akan sergah kucing tu... Notty sgt.. ;( 
3. What is the best pet for him? Yes, this one is actually the Biggest questionmark... I want him to love his pet, not to bully or fight with, especially cat. But I personally prefer cat as I am cat lover.. hehe.. Huhu pening nak pilih yang mane satu idaman kalbu si Zaim ni...

• Goldfish

• Iguana

• or... grass pet? hehehe..

I also need to consider who will do the caring? is it Me or Bie or Bibik? Well this should be clear too so we both ready to be a parents of this new baby. Ala-ala prektis anak 3 gitu.. hahah.. I havent discuss this seriously with Bie yet.. Eh bukan pasal 3rd one ok.. Yang tu memang dalam perancangan insyaAllah next 2 or 3 years... What I mean here, I do told him yang Zaim kind of interested to have his own pet but we never discuss this in deep yet. For me having a pet demand a good commitment and responsibility from all of family members. So we need to be ready for any consequences of this decision. Mentally and physically. I dont want having a pet turn our life into a nightmare pulak kan... It should be the other way around. It should be fun.. ;)

Last but not least, teringat cerita Marley and Me. I still remember the whole story. I still remember I cried when Marley died... I adore the couple, I adore the family, I adore their love. I adore how they struggle to solve all the problems in their life. I adore how they bond to each other. I adore everything about them.

I will need to think about this by now because I was thinking to get him a pet for his 3rd birthday present. ;)
